Zoya Savita Matte Velvet Lacquer - Lena Talks Beauty

Zoya Savita Matte Velvet Nail Polish

A few months ago, I won a giveaway on the Zoya New Zealand Facebook page! It was for Zoya Savita Matte Velvet Lacquer, and I was so excited. I only have one Zoya polish and it’s so great that I was delighted to add more to my collection. Zoya also gave me some other products when they realised I had a blog, which was great, and I’ll be doing a proper review of them soon (eventually. I promise. I have so much I need to write about and not enough hours in the day!). For now, here is my review of Zoya Savita Nail Polish!

Zoya Savita Nail Polish Swatch - Lena Talks Beauty

Savita by Zoya is a vibrant purple colour, with a gold shimmer that is visible in sunlight – you can see hints of it in the photo above. It has a matte finish, and I like that the bottle has frosted glass which instantly marks it as different to their normal polishes.

When I wore this polish, I applied the Anchor base coat from the Zoya Color Lock System which I was also sent by Zoya New Zealand. Since it is a matte polish, you shouldn’t use top coats or quick dry drops as they will change the finish of the polish. You don’t need quick dry drops or top coats though, as this dries incredibly quickly. By the time I was painting my right hand, my left had was already dry! I wish all polishes dried so fast – I have no idea what makes this dry so quickly.

The colour of Savita is just stunning – the deep rich purple looks so fabulous. I applied two coats, but looking at these photos I’m thinking I could have potentially done with a third, although that’s just me being overly critical.

I think this polish is so beautiful, and I really want to buy more from the Zoya Matte Velvet Lacquer range! I have a few other Zoya polishes that were sent to me and I’ll be blogging about them in due course.

In New Zealand, you can purchase Zoya polishes from Kirkaldie & Stains in Wellington, selected salons, and direct from Zoya NZ here for $24. If you are overseas, stockist information can be found on Zoya’s website.

LOVE THIS COLOUR! I’m nuts for purples, as I’m sure you know by now hahahaha
I have never used Zoya polishes before, but this is one I’d definitely like to pick up! Matte polishes are so nice for a change!

  • Love this color!! I’ve never tried a matte polish before. 🙂

  • Wow I love that matte look. I’ve never tried a matte polish before but it looks amazing. I’ll have to check them out next time I’m at Kirks

    • You definitely should! I wish they were sold in store somewhere near me, I bought my only other one when I was visiting Wellington last year.

  • what a gorgeous nail polish! I love the look of matte nails but I find that nearly everytime I use one they chip so quickly!? Not sure if that’s just me though x

    • It probably did chip a bit faster than usual but it wasn’t unacceptably faster. It’s a shame you can’t use topcoats with them though. Worth it for the pretty!

I really love that colour and have heard Zoya polishes are really Lon lasting. Definitely one for the wish list!

  • I love this so much. Such a great color and finish. And no hassle of putting a matte top coat on! Incredible. Also, I didn’t even know we have Zoya in NZ.

    • It’s so stunning! It’s not super widely available but it is around – check out that website 🙂

  • Can’t wait to see the others! Love the colour – I’m not a huge matte fan but can totally see myself buying this and putting a glossy coat on it actually.

  • Purples and pinks are my favourite colours! And I love the sound of this purple having a gold shimmer in it. It sounds gorgeous!
