Today I’m excited to be sharing with you the Za Perfect Foundation Set that is out in New Zealand for March. The Za Perfect Foundation Set includes Za Total Hydration BB Cream, Perfect Fit Two Way foundation refill, as well as a Perfect Fit foundation case. This is normally a value of $50 but this month it is available for only $29. The lovely people at Za NZ have sent me one of these sets and I’ve given it a try, and have photos to show you how well it worked for me.
One of the items in the set is the Za Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation, which is a powder foundation, and goes into the refillable Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation Case, which has room for the included sponge. I really like that it comes with a mirror which is perfect for touch ups on the go, and that you can replace the powder when you use it up – better for the wallet and the environment. There are 8 available shades, and I selected OC00 – you can check to see what your shade would be on the ZA website, or use the in-store testers to pick the best option. For reference, I wear MAC NW20, so I have light-medium cool toned skin.
The other item is the Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV, which provides quite good coverage for a BB cream. This is only available in one shade, but I think the use of the powder would enable people to wear this even if it doesn’t quite match. I’m impressed that this has SPF 43, as well as PA+++ UVA protection – so much higher than the SPF 15 or so you tend to get in most western BB creams (Za originates from Japan). The Perfect Fit foundation also offers SPF 20 and PA++ UVA protection, although it is difficult to apply a sufficient amount of powder to achieve that level of sun protection.
Above is me with just the BB cream on, and below is with the two-way foundation on also. By the way, by two-way, they mean that it can be applied with a wet or dry sponge – I applied with a dry sponge. You can’t quite tell from the photos, as most of my blemishes are along my cheeks and jaw, but the addition of the powder does add quite a decent amount of coverage. When I just had the BB cream on, I wanted to apply concealer because I felt like my pimples were showing too much, but in the interests of a decent review I didn’t put any on – and once I had the powder on I felt like I didn’t really need it.
While we’re at it – here I am with my makeup fully applied. On my eyes are loose eyeshadows from Darling Girl and Silk Naturals, with Za liquid eyeliner (which I have previously blogged about). On my lips is Revlon Matte Balm in the shade 220 Showy.
This set is good value for money – if purchased alone, the BB cream is $15, the two-way foundation is $25 and the case is $10 – with this deal you get them all for $29. The Za Perfect Foundation Set can be purchased from selected pharmacies and other independent stockists, for a list of locations please visit Za NZ’s Facebook page. Thanks to Za for sending me this – I love having the opportunity to try different products, and Za is a brand I hadn’t used prior to blogging, but I have really enjoyed what I’ve used of theirs.
