Ulta3 is a brand of nail polish and makeup here in Australia and New Zealand, and recently I was given several of them at an event held by the brand. I actually already had a couple of them in my collection from when my friend Teresa moved overseas and cleaned out her polish, but I had yet to get around to using them. Since I suddenly had enough for one on each finger I decided to do a a skittle manicure. What’s that, you ask? Here’s an explanation from All Lacquered Up. Keep reading to see how it looked, and my thoughts on the polishes themselves.
The polishes that I used are, from left to right:
- Violet Rumble
- Party Shoes
- Bo Peep
- Blossom Fever
- Corsican Rose
I wore them with my usual top and basecoats, Orly Bonder and Glisten and Glow HK girl
In general, the formula for the Ulta3 nail polishes is very nice. The two lighter colours, Blossom Fever and Corsican Rose, required three coats but the other three only needed two coats which is pretty standard. The brush and handle aren’t anything particularly noteworthy which is good because it means they didn’t give me anything to complain about. Simple and effective is what I like in polish packaging.
I love the cheery brightness of Party Shoes – I currently have it on my toes which is appropriate seeing as I will be putting on my party shoes tonight!
Ulta3 Nail Polishes are very affordable – in New Zealand they are only $4, and this is for a 13ml bottle! You could buy 5 of them for the price of 1 OPI or Essie Polish, which is an excellent bargain. I read on their website that they have 100 shades which means endless options for variety and at that price I can see myself taking serious advantage of it.
- In NZ, Ulta3 is available at Postie+ (which even has an online store) and chemists.
- In Australia, Ulta3 is sold at chemists and there is a stockist locator on their Facebook Page.
- Ulta3 is now also available at some Primark stores in England – for specifics visit their website.
Do you have any Ulta3 recommendations for me? Leave them in the comments below! Also, stay tuned for a post about Ulta3 lipsticks which will hopefully be up before long, as soon as I actually have some time to write it.
4/5 of these polishes were given to me by the brand for my consideration/review
