iHerb.com is one of my favourite sites to buy beauty products, and today I’m going to share what I think is the best of iherb, and also some things that are on my wishlist. One of my most recent buys is the famous Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. It’s perfect for oily or acne-prone skin to clear up pimples. Since my skin is dry, I only apply on areas of my face with acne to avoid drying it out, and so far it’s worked really well. It’s under 5 NZ dollars for a big 220g tube, so it’s such a bargain. I’ve also been loving the ELF Brow Kit for over six months now and am very pleased with it. It comes with a gel and a powder, and both work together nicely. Sometimes I use just the powder for a more subtle look. It comes with a tiny double ended brush but I prefer to use my own brushes. I use the shade light, and here’s how it looks on me. There is ash, which is lighter, and also medium and dark. I’ve also bought some EcoTools and Real Techniques brushes, and have been happy with all of them. Real Techniques is owned by makeup artists and YouTube Queens Samantha and Nic Chapman of PixiWoo fame. They are all really good quality brushes and at very affordable prices. I’m planning on buying the Real Technique Expert Face Brush soon, as it’s raved about all over beauty blogs and in youtube videos. I’d highly recommend all of EcoTools’ brushes, especially the eye makeup ones.
After being mislead by a number of silicone-filled serums masquerading as ‘oils’ (cough cough Moroccanoil, see post here), I was excited to buy Cococare’s argan oil to use on my hair. I put a little bit on it after it’s dry, and it helps tame any frizz I might have. It works a treat. Some people swear by putting argan oil on their skin too, but I’ve never tried it. Iherb also has a lot of food and other items, and some things I’ve found have been really good. I liked the Tazo Chai tea and the Equal Exchange milk chocolate with Hazelnut was divine. Next up on my list to buy is some of the ELF Matte Lips Colors – I particularly like the look of Rich Red and Tea Rose. My friend Laura from Laura Love Beauty blog is convinced that Tea Rose is the perfect cheaper dupe for Kylie Jenner’s famed nude lip. Do you have any iherb favourites? Tell me what they are, I’m always on the lookout for fun new products.
