Time has got away on me – my formerly monthly empties posts have now seemed to become every second month! This post is a bit of a long one, so I better get cracking. I finished 15 products, 12 of them full size (including 2 single-use masks), and 3 mini/sample sized. The products range across haircare, skincare, body products, makeup, and nails. Hair Batiste Dry Shampoo – Eden (honeysuckle & sugarmelon) I don’t remember the last time I wrote an empties post and it didn’t include a can of Batiste dry shampoo. This fragrance was amazing, my favourite of them all. Repurchase? Already have Olaplex Hair Perfector I’ve been using Olaplex for about the last year, and it was great at rehabbing my damaged hair. Since I’ve got my hair to a good condition and started just being Ombre blonde rather than full highlights, I haven’t used it as much. Doesn’t seem really neccessary at the moment, especially not at $50 for a bottle I get maybe 5 uses from. Repurchase? Maybe sometime in the future Body Weleda Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash* I loved the way this smelled, and it made my skin feel amazing – but there’s a but. […]
It’s time for another empties post! I didn’t use many products up during January so decided to make it a combined affair with February. Then everything seemed to run out all at once! I’ve been really trying to finish one product before opening another but we all know how hard that is. I have finished skin, hair, body, makeup, and nail items, so at least one from each of the main categories that I blog about. Some are even full size! Now, without further ado, let’s get stuck in. I’ll be linking in the titles to where I have reviewed the products previously.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, or following me on social media, you probably know that I love having nice nails. I always have them polished and tend to wear them fairly long. However, this wasn’t always the case. When I was younger, my nails were a wreck. I bit them, and I worked in cafes where they just got ruined every day. I stopped working in hospitality about four years ago, and started trying to grow my nails. After I conquered the biting, I wanted to figure out how to make them strong and look nice. My nature is to research everything I’m interested in to great detail. So over the last few years I’ve been researching how to care for your nails, from the internet as well as through having a couple of friends who are qualified nail technicians. In this post, I’ll be sharing some of the products that I use to care for my nails and cuticles, as well as some of the lifestyle tips that help me too.
It’s that time again – empties time! As usual, I’ve collected all of the beauty products that I’ve finished during the month and will be reviewing them all. I finished (or decided to throw out) 7 products and this time they were all skincare. My empties are from Weleda, Fuss Free Naturals, Neutrogena, Dr Bronner’s, Clinique, Innisfree and Tony Moly – keep reading for my reviews.
As most of you know, I’m single and dating at the moment. As a ‘typical girl’ it takes me forever, and a million products to get ready for a date. So, in his post I’m going to give you a behind the scenes look into the process of me getting ready for a date! I can do it in a rush, if need be, but I really would rather not. I enjoy the process – I always have music playing and usually have a pre-drink. A fair few of these products I’m using I’ve blogged about before since I like to use my tried-and-trued products, so I’ll link to the reviews where I can. I hope you enjoy this peek into my life…and if you’re the guy I’m dating, stop reading now, it’ll ruin the illusion.
