Lena Talks Beauty reviews W7 cosmetics

W7 Cosmetics is an affordable and on-trend brand of makeup, and today I’ve tried it for the first time. W7 was started in the UK 10 years ago with the intention of creating high quality cosmetics at a low price. I was sent a few products of their range from Postie+, who stock them in New Zealand. This post is going to be my first impressions of the range, and I’ve showed them on my face too. Settle in, this is going to be a bit of a lengthy post. It’s always fun to try a new range of makeup, especially when it’s cheap. I tend to have champagne tastes but a beer budget, so I like to find bargains.

Outtakes: take 2

Thursday, December 24th 2015 Uncategorised

A few months ago I published a post that was a collection of outtakes of my photo shoots for blog photos. That was well received so I’ve decided to do another one! A lot of these are due to my brother – he often acts as my photographer when I can’t be bothered getting out the tripod and often he is quite naughty. He will snap away when I am NOT ready, and when I look at the photos afterwards I always laugh out loud. I hope you have a giggle at these, and I’ll also link to the posts which contain decent photos!

I did not authorise this photo being taken. I don’t even know why I was making that horrible face! I just wanted him to take photos of some arm swatches for a post about the MAC Enchanted Eve Cool Face Palette* and this got snapped! The lipstick I’m wearing is also from the MAC Holiday collection this year and it is  Evening Rendezvous lipstick from the Magic of the Night collection. You can read more about all the MAC Holiday collections for 2015 in my post here – I promise there are no terrible photos of me on it.

Date Makeup - Lena Talks Beauty

As most of you know, I’m single and dating at the moment. As a ‘typical girl’ it takes me  forever, and a million products to get ready for a date. So, in his post I’m going to give you a behind the scenes look into the process of me getting ready for a date! I can do it in a rush, if need be, but I really would rather not. I enjoy the process – I always have music playing and usually have a pre-drink. A fair few of these products I’m using I’ve blogged about before since I like to use my tried-and-trued products, so I’ll link to the reviews where I can. I hope you enjoy this peek into my life…and if you’re the guy I’m dating, stop reading now, it’ll ruin the illusion.

beauty blog post ideas no money - lena talks beauty

Sometimes, I do a really nice makeup look and just feel compelled to share it on here. This post doesn’t have a particular theme, I suppose you could just call it a Face Of The Day (or rather night) post. I used a few products that I don’t often use, including a lipstick which I bought at Christmas time and had yet to even open. I possibly shouldn’t have spent so long doing my makeup and playing with my new camera as I ended up being late to the event I was going to, but since I did, it only makes sense that I should at least share the photos. After the jump, find out what products I used!
