If your Facebook feed is anything like mine, ads for Wish shopping app have been popping up frequently. Everything on there is really cheap, and there are a lot of interesting items on offer. I can’t resist either of those things and I’ve been shopping up a storm on Wish. So, today I’m sharing my enthusiasm and my great buys with you all. A lot of the items I’ve bought are home decor related, as I’ve been trying to make my room an adorable girly sanctuary, but there’s a fair number of beauty buys too.
One of my favourite online shopping websites is iHerb.com, and today I’m sharing my latest haul. iHerb sells a lot of natural food and healthcare products, but the main thing I buy from there is beauty products (of course!). This most recent order is more about the tools, rather than cosmetics, although one little item of makeup hopped into my cart. In this post I’ve shared my first impressions of two Bdellium Tools makeup brushes, an EcoTools hairbrush, and a Honeybee Gardens lip liner.
Beauty blogging can be a very competitive industry – everyone wants to get the latest and greatest products, and have a post about it up – fast. Whilst I am now fortunate to be receiving products from PR companies and brands, I still find myself wanting to buy makeup ‘for the blog’. I’ve always had champagne tastes, and a beer (or Lindauer!) budget. I love to shop, I love to try new products, and sadly my income and other expenses don’t allow me to do as much of it as I would like. I never really compare myself to celebrities because they’re so far from my reality, I can’t compare myself to people whose incomes have many more zeroes than mine. However, I do compare myself to fellow bloggers, friends, and people on Instagram, and I know from talking to other bloggers that they do so too. I’m going to be totally honest and say that last year/early this year I ended up getting myself into a bit of credit card debt.
