Lena talks beauty empties post - hair, skin & cuticles

May, June, and July empties – bumper edition!

This post is long overdue – and I can tell this because my empties box is quite literally overflowing. With moving house and changing jobs, this poor wee blog has been sorely neglected but now I feel like I’ve got life under control so I’m back baby! Over the last 3 months I have finished 12 products, with most of those being full size so I’m pretty proud of myself. I’ve made a real point of sticking to a consistent skincare routine which means I’m behind in trying new products but my skin is loving it, and I’ve actually managed to finish a few things. This post features hair, skin, body, and nail care products, so let’s jump into it.

NZ indie polish month

It’s May, and that means that it’s NZ Indie Polish Month again! This year is the second time it has been run by PANZ and the first time I’ve really been around for it. What is PANZ?  PANZ (Polish Addicts of NZ) is a New Zealand based Facebook group for nail polish lovers! We’re super friendly and love meeting fellow polish addicts so please feel free to come join the fun here. What is NZ Indie Polish Month?  It’s the brainchild of Serra from Peacock Pie, a month long celebration of all things New Zealand made indie polish! We have some awesome local brands making really cool stuff and we want everyone to know about them. We’ll be using the hashtag #nzindiepolish on social media, please feel free to join in!

Starry Night polishes from Nail Juice

I have been on such a lucky streak lately! This time I won 3 mini nail polishes from Nail Juice – an Auckland, NZ based polish company run by Steph and Dan. This is the Starry Night Juice Box. “Inspired by Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night painting, you can now have the beautiful landscape on your nails!” It contains a pastel blue, pastel yellow and a predominantly blue glitter that features some red in it too.
