Moisture Mist Beauty Cake is specially formulated for New Zealand women – New Zealand is the only country where it is available! This year, Moisture Mist has released a Limited Edition Beauty Cake with packaging that is designed by artist Michael Tompsett that shows a colourful map of New Zealand. I was given one of these, along with a few other products from Moisture Mist at an event they hosted for beauty bloggers recently. Today I’m going to show you the Moisture Mist Beauty Cake, the Translucent Pressed Powder in both Medium Beige and Bronze, as well as sharing a bit of a review of all of them.
My friend Kelsy ordered the Beauty Review March Beauty Box, and I was so interested by her unboxing that she did on twitter, that I asked her to write a guest post about it – Lena. My day today was not amazing. I got to work and was promptly sent home because my back was not behaving like a back should. I spent most of the day in child pose. But I did get up to answer the door for couriers, and one of them brought me the long awaited Beauty Review Beauty Box! I paid $53.95 for a mystery box of 12 full sized products, worth over $236 (including shipping) back in late February. I’ve been waiting patiently (OK – not so patiently) for it to arrive. Beauty Review is a website for New Zealanders to review thousands of different beauty products, as well as get the opportunity to trial products sent out by beauty companies. If you’re not already a member, you should be – go here to register.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to Farmers Glenfield to have a mini-facial and makeover with Moisture Mist products. I learned that both brands are sub-brands of Shiseido which is a Japanese cosmetics company that has been around for over 140?? years. Moisture Mist is only available in New Zealand – it used to be available in more countries, and was discontinued, but it was so popular with Kiwis that it was kept here. One especially popular product is the Beauty Cake which I have reviewed previously. I tried a whole range of different skincare and makeup products – read on to see what I thought of them. (PS what do you think of the ‘read more’ format? I’m trying it out because lots of people seem to love it)
Moisture Mist is a sister brand to Sheseido created especially for the New Zealand market, and New Zealand women. It’s a brand that I’m familiar with in the sense that I’ve seen the stands, and I know people who use the products, but I’ve never used them myself until now. I was sent the Beauty Cake* which has been Moisture Mist’s most popular foundation for over 30 years, as well as the matching Beauty Cake sponge and have been trying it out over the last few weeks.
