Olaplex has been the talk of the hair world for the last couple of years, it’s been proclaimed as hair magic. It’s what let Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner go from brunette to blonde in one day with minimal damage. I had Olaplex used in my last hair colouring session, and now I’m here to discuss the big question. Is Olaplex worth the hype? I’ve also done some research about what Olaplex is, and how it works, since it is a bit confusing.
To continue on my series of posts about oils, I’ve got a how-to post of coconut oil hair treatments. I like to use coconut oil treatments on my hair every few weeks, or just whenever I feel like it, to make it silky smooth. There are multitudes of recipes for them on pinterest and the like, but the way I do it is very simple. There are a lot of different varieties of coconut oil, different levels of purity and the like, but for the purpose of using it in your hair I don’t think it’s particularly important what kind you use. I use Olivado Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, purely because it’s what I found at my local supermarket, and it was around $10. I put some coconut oil in a mug – a couple of tablespoons because I have a lot of hair, but scale it up or down depending on the length/thickness of your hair.
