September Lust Have It

Monday, October 27th 2014 Nails

This month’s (well, last month’s by the time I got it) Lust Have It box was seriously delayed, it wasn’t shipped until October. They said it was due to delays with products arriving, and communicated this on Facebook, so I was aware of it. Anyway, it’s here now! This month we received three full size products, two decent sized samples and 4 sample sachets. These products include skincare, makeup and nail products, which is a nice variety.

Lust Have it september

Glam Manicare Nail Art Pens – $9.99 in Aus, $12.99 in NZ.
I love doing nail art and this is such a cute little set. It comes with a silver polish that can be use to paint normally or to draw small details, 300 silver gems and 10 stencils. This is by far my favourite item from this box. I’m really excited to use it, and I’m sure I’ll instagram it when I get the chance to use it. Edit: I used it! Took a bit of a learning curve, but I think it looks quite cute. I want some of the other colours now too, I see a trip to Farmers in my future.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Macadamia Creme Highlighter 6g – $24.90 in Aus
I thought this was a lip gloss when I opened it, but it is a liquid highlighter. The Cosmetic Kitchen is cruelty free and all of their products are certified vegan. I’ll have to experiment with how to use it, but I’m looking forward to trying something unusual.

Model Co Lip Lacquer 10ml – $24.00
We actually got to choose which shade of these we wanted, and I went with Casablanca shade. I was expecting something more like the Chi Chi liquid lipsticks, than this which is more of a gloss. It is a nice product, and not too sticky, but it’s not an intense colour and doesn’t wear for very long, despite being advertised as long wearing.

Did you know I wear glasses? I think this may be their first appearance

Urban Skincare Co Repair + Body Balm 35ml sample – $12.95 for 100ml
This is a lovely moisturiser for the body, and I have been really liking using this sample. I like the packaging too, it’s definitely a look which is popular at the moment. It’s a sample size, but it’s a pretty decent size, good for the handbag or travelling.

Uriage Surglas Liquide sample – $24.95 for 400ml
This is a cleanser sample from the French skincare brand Uriage. I always like to use my high school French to understand French packaging but unfortunately they didn’t teach us much skincare vocabulary. It says it’s suitable for sensitive skin, and I found that was true, it didn’t leave my skin feeling dry or stripped. It doesn’t really remove makeup, so I’d suggest using a dedicated makeup remover before using this.

As a bonus this month we received a few sample sachets from Model Co’s new skincare range. I haven’t had the chance to use them yet, as I’m trialling some other skincare and don’t want my face to freak out, but watch out for them in empties posts in the future.

I think this month’s Lust Have It was awesome! I’m genuinely excited by pretty much all of the products, and it’s such a good variety. I’m looking forward to next month’s box, and I’m glad I cancelled the other subscription box I was receiving.
