I’ve been making a huge effort to try and use up as many products as possible, so that beauty products don’t take over my entire house. There’s a fair bit coming in between purchases, subscription boxes and products to review, so others have got to be emptied. Today I’ll be showing you what I finished in September, ranging from body to haircare, so lets get started!

Nivea, Pantene, Neutrogena Naturals, Silk Naturals Empties

Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Lotion with Almond Oil 250ml – $4.10
I’ve been using this on and off for a couple of years now, and I really like it. It sinks in fairly quickly, and leaves my skin feeling nice and moisturised. There’s no scent which means I don’t get any stinging if I use it after shaving, like you might with heavily fragranced lotions. It’s cheap, and readily available at the supermarket.
Repurchase? I will, after I’ve used up some others.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle 15ml – $8.99 for a pack of 3
I LOVE these little treatments. Not quite miraculous but they are awesome. I wrote about them earlier this month, have a read here.
Repurchase? Yes!

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser 177ml – $15.99
I got this from Beauty Review – I never buy ~natural~ stuff because usually it’s not that different. It is “willowbark bionutrient rich cleanser [that] detoxifies pores” and I don’t have much more to say to that than LOL. This was a perfectly acceptable cleanser, that’s the best I have to say about it. It’s not empty but I have others that are better and it’s just taking up space, so it’s being tossed.
Repurchase? No way.

Silk Naturals 8% AHA Toner 120ml – $8.95 (USD)
Okay, so this isn’t an empty, but it’s a product I’m throwing away since it’s past it’s expiry date, so I think it counts. I really loved this at first, it made my skin glow! However, now I really am turning the battle towards my acne, and I couldn’t use this in conjuction with other products. And then it past it’s expiry date, and got too acidic so it’s got to go. I’d recommend it though!
Repurchase? Probably not, I have other skincare needs to focus on.

L'Oreal Ever Pure, Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair, Bioderma Micellar Water, Simple cleansing wipes, empties

L’Oreal EverPure Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner samples. 250ml – $16.99
I don’t even know how these made their way to my ridiculously sized sample stash, but somehow they did, so I used them. They were fine, that’s really all that I have to say about them. They say they protect coloured hair, so that’s good but I can’t tell from one use whether it worked. They’re sulfate-free, which I know is something a lot of people like as sulfates can irritate their skin or dry out their hair.
Repurchase? Maybe, if it was cheaper/ I didn’t need to use lots of shampoo and conditioner because of all my hair

Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair 115ml – $39.90
I finally scraped the last out of my sample jar of this, and it made me sad! I have written about it previously but I wanted to rave about it some more. This stuff has got to be magic. It works better on my eczema than the prescribed creams does, and it can be used on my face too without worrying about side effects. It is a bit on the expensive side of things but a wee bit goes a long way, and it’s totally worth it for me.
Repurchase?  Literally just did as I wrote this post!

Bioderma Micellar Water 500ml for $39.99 (in Australia)
I got this from the Lust Have It box, and was excited to try it since it’s such a cult product on so many beauty blogs. It did a pretty good job removing makeup, without irritating my skin or eyes at all.
Repurchase? No. I already have Garnier Micellar Water which is MUCH cheaper and just as good.

Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, 25 – $9.49
To start, I have to say I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much for these, but that’s the current price on the supermarket website. They’re often on sale for more like $7. These wipes are what I keep coming back to again and again. Other brands irritate my skin and my eyes, or don’t do a good job at removing makeup, and these are just great. I don’t use them every night, just when I’m tired or perhaps intoxicated *gasp*. They have multivitamins in them, apparently, as if that would do anything.
Repurchase? Definitely!

I LOVE reading empties posts so link me yours down below and I’ll definitely read them. What do you think of the things I finished this month – do you feel similarly or different about any of them?

  • I love the Simple wipes! I’ve been using them for so long.. other brands can’t compare!

    • I agree – they’re the best by far. A couple of times I’ve tried other ones that were slightly cheaper and they were awful.
