Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle

I’ll start by saying that I think Pantene calling this product miraculous is a bit of a stretch! Brands seem to be throwing that term around a lot, the hyperbole is going crazy in the beauty world. While the Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle might not be worthy of a bible story, I do really like what it has done for my hair. I first heard about this treatment from a friend, who had raved about the good things it did for her hair, and when I saw it in a shop I knew I had to take the leap and buy it – and I’m glad I did.

Pantene pro-v 3 minute miracle

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle is sold as ‘an intensive 9 day treatment program for severely damaged hair to help reduce split ends’. It comes in a pack of three 15ml tubes, and says to use each one three days apart – however, it says to use once a week for normal hair. My hair is in reasonably good condition, so I have used my little miracles over three consecutive weeks. Someone with hair that is shorter or thinner than mine could probably get two treatments per tube but storing it would be a bit of a challenge because the end of the tube twists off, but as long as it was kept somewhere flat it should be alright. Edited to add – My friend says ‘You totally can reseal them for multiple uses – just shove the reverse end of the top into the hole’. Genius.

To use the treatment, you apply it to freshly washed hair, making sure to pay close attention to the tips – I didn’t apply mine any higher than my ears. Then you amuse yourself for three minutes, or around that length of time, before rinsing it out. I didn’t have a watch with me in the shower so I just guessed, erring on the side of longer rather than less amount of time. I was looking expectantly in the mirror for changes once I was out of the shower, and shockingly I couldn’t see any, clearly patience is not one of my strong points. By the time it was dry the following morning, I definitely could see that my hair looked better. It was much less frizzy than it usually is post-washing and the ends felt a lot smoother. After Pantene Pro V 3 minute miracle I’m really impressed with this – the effects have been really noticeable and I haven’t even used the third treatment yet. It’s much better than the fancy Schwarzkopf treatment I got in last month’s Goodie Box, and it’s only $8.50 for three treatments, compared to $8 for one (for a review of that treatment, read my post here). The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it creates a bit of waste with all of the packaging, so that’s less than ideal. Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle is available at The Warehouse, Kmart and supermarkets. Lena x

  • I never get anything from pantene for some reason but I would give this a shot!

    • I don’t think I’d used it before either, but Lani loved it so much that I just went for it.

  • My hairdresser always told me not to use Pantene on my hair as it is full of Silicone x

    • Nearly every shampoo and conditioner has silicone in it – even expensive hair products like moroccanoil! As long as you don’t use them too much there is nothing wrong with it.

My hair is always frizzy and crazy, so I’m always on the look out for anything that can calm it! This sounds great!

  • Pantene doesn’t really suit me but I’m glad it works for you.

  • Pleased you like this but I personally would never use anything from Pantene as it just paints a film over your hair and gives the impression that it’s doing something.
