October Empties – hair, skin, and nails

This month my empties box actually OVERFLOWED! So, I’ve actually split this post into two – today is skincare, hair, and nail products and later in the week we’ll get to makeup. Some of the things in this post aren’t empties in the true sense of the word, but they are products I’m throwing away, so they count.

October Empties - Hair, Skin, and Nails - Lena Talks Beauty

Clinique Super City Block
I liked this sunscreen, but it’s nearly empty and past it’s expiry date so it was time to toss it as we’re coming into summer. Probably won’t repurchase as others work better under makeup.

Plantae Avocado Pear Eye Contour Cream*
Nice and moisturising for my dry eye area – I may buy another when it’s next autumn/winter.

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion
Oh my gosh this smells SO good! I have another of these minis and i really want to buy a full size.

Billion Dollar Brows Brow Boost*
I was quite excited by this, but it did nothing for me whatsoever. I could have persevered and finished the tube, but life is short.

Paula’s Choice Resist Skin Revealing Body Lotion 10% AHA
I LOVE THIS. I bought another one before this was empty because I was scared of being without it. Using this in conjuction with my Salux Cloth has worked amazingly on my Keratosis Pilaris. To buy  there is the option of the Paula’s Choice Australian (and NZ) website here or USA (with shipping to some other countries) here. Following those links will get you a discount on your first order, as well as earning me some affiliate credit.

Chi Chi Mega Lip Plumper
Ouch. stings. The less said about that the better.

Carmex Lip Balm
Carmex moisturising lip balm? More like Carmex drying and gross lipbalm. it has so many drying ingredients like methol, camphor, and salicylic acid, I don’t even know why this exists and how so many people like it!

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter
This baby has lived in my handbag for ages, and I finally finished it. The mango butter smells delicious and nourishing my lips really well. I have a few other balms I want to finish first, but I will be buying this again.

Health Basics Nail Polish Remover – Acetone formula
I have been using this nail polish remover for years and years. Occasionally I’ve bought others out of curiousity or desperation and I’m never that satisfied with them, so now I try to have a backup available at all times.

Zoya Remove+*
3-in-1 polish remover, nail cleaner and nail prep came in my Zoya ColorLock kit (I used it in this post. I found that it required a bit of elbow grease to take polish off so I would stick to my classic Health Basics in future.

Batiste Dry Shampoo – medium brunette
I’ll continue purchasing this for as long as I live! I hate washing my hair so this is the best. I currently have a non-brunette one since I needed it and there wasn’t brunette available, but I prefer brunette much more.

Schwarzkopf Hair Styling Strips
I don’t even know where I got these or what they do. This is the trouble with being a sample collector and beauty hoarder.

Phew – I finally got to the end! That’s 12 products and I have nearly as many from the makeup category, which will be up later in the week.
