Last weekend Makeup Obsessives had a meet up, and it was AWESOME. It was great catching up with friends, and finally meeting people in person after seeing their pictures for months. We also got an amazing goodie bag which felt like Christmas and my birthday had come at once. I’m progressively working my way through and trying everything, but today I’m going to show you the four lipsticks I got – three were in the goodie bag and one was a gift from a friend.
Carousel Cosmetics is a new line by Toni, who owns NZ-based cosmetics website Beauty Bliss. Those of us who got one of these lipsticks in their goodie bags were the first people to try them, which was pretty exciting! Bite Me is a gorgeous orange-red in a creamy formula that is surprisingly long lasting.
This is an incredibly creamy, bright pink lipstick and I am in LOVE with it. Unfortunately Blush Baby are no longer selling their range of lipsticks *tear* so you won’t be able to get your hands on one of these babies, but I will be enjoying this right down to the last drop.
Just a few days before the meet up I was swatching these L’Oreal Colour Riche Moisture Matte lipsticks in the pharmacy and put them on my wish list – and my wish came true! Sometimes matte lipsticks can be really dry, but this one wasn’t at all. I applied my Living Nature lip hydrator, did my face makeup and then put this on and my lips felt and looked nice and smooth while wearing it. It survived a coffee perfectly intact but needed reapplication after lunch.
Bibiana is a Makeup Obsessive too, and she decided to get her own line of funky lipstick colours made up, and kindly gave me Trinket. It’s a bit bolder than I would usually wear but it’s so cool that I couldn’t NOT wear it! I’m glad I was brave because this looks amazing.
Here they are all together!
Carousel Cosmetics lipsticks are $19 and currently exclusively available from Beauty Bliss – and if you sign up for the newsletter you can get 5% off, nice!
Blush Baby aren’t selling their lipsticks any more but you can get other products such as Ardell lashes which I love, and also book their makeup and hair services from their website.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Moisture Matte lipsticks are available at Farmers and pharmacies nationwide, for $26.99.
Bibiana Cosmetics lipsticks are sold on her Facebook page – Beauty by Bibby. She’s temporarily not selling them because life has become a little bit hectic so like the page for when they’re back up for sale. The introductory price for these is $12.50, with the permanent price to be $15 which is such a great bargain.
Disclosure: Affiliate links are in this post – by purchasing through them, the price is the same for you, but I receive a small percentage of the cost.
