As part of their mega summer launch, Collection Cosmetics have released their Lasting Colour Lipstick range, and I have received four of them to review. Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks come in 11 shades, of which 7 are gloss and 4 have Matte finishes. The four which I was sent are: Fig Delight, Cupcake Pink, Pretty in Peach and Pink Diva. I have been wearing them over the last couple of months which you may have seen on my social media, and now I can share my review of them all.
Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks come in a pretty standard black tube, with the matte lipsticks having a matte texture to them which is a nice touch. I like that the labels have colours on them similar to how Revlon do, it endlessly frustrates me that some brands don’t. Looking at you, MAC.
Fig Delight – Shade 10
Cupcake Pink – Shade 6
Pink Diva (Matt)- Shade 18
Pretty In Peach – Shade 2
I’ve been wearing these lipsticks fairly regularly over the last month, with the exception of Cupcake Pink because it doesn’t really suit my skin tone. Pretty in Peach would be the one I’ve worn the most, which you can see on my instagram. The matte lipstick (Pink Diva) by far outlasted the gloss formula as you would expect. The gloss formulas wore off evenly at least, none of them gave me that unattractive ring around your mouth that some can get. I’d love it if Collection made more of the matte lipsticks since I would buy them but I don’t think I would buy one of the gloss formula.
I decided to do lip swatches for all of these because they aren’t super widely available, and Collection stands don’t have testers for their products.
In the photo below, I’m wearing Pink Diva and I LOVE how it looks. It lasted well through eating, drinking, and even provided a valiant effort resisting kissing buuut eventually it transferred onto him.
The recommended retail price for Collection Lasting Colour lipsticks is $16.50, however I just saw on the Collection NZ Facebook that this week at Countdown they are on sale down to $14.99 so it’s good timing to go and pick some up. Good thing this post has taken me so long to get up that it coincides with a sale! To see the entire Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick range you can visit their website.
What do you think of these lipsticks? Do you think you’ll buy any of them?
