November Empties

I know, it’s the middle of December and I’m writing about the beauty products that I used up in November. Better late than never, right? I finished up quite a few different products – hair care, skincare, makeup, and body. That was a mixture of full sized, and samples, and overall I’m feeling quite accomplished. By the way, when I say ‘repurchase’, some of them I didn’t actually purchase but got sent from brands, or got samples at counter but my evaluation remains the same – would I spend my money on them in the future. Right, now let’s get on with the reviews!

My favourite perfumes

I can’t believe I’ve been writing this blog for about a year and a half and I don’t think I’ve ever written about the perfumes that I wear and love. I have a few different fragrances, as well as other favourites that I don’t currently own but have in the past. I find perfume terminology kind of confusing, but typically I like light and sweet scents. These perfumes are by One Direction, Trilogy, Kim Kardashian, and Urban Rituelle.

May Empties

Another month, another empties post! I’ve managed to use up 10 products over the last month – 6 full size, and 4 samples. I’m pretty impressed with it, and it goes to show what not buying new things and focusing on finishing specific products can do. I’ve been enjoying finishing products, and taking the time to write a post and evaluate whether I will purchase them again. Last month I split the post into two, and I considered doing thatagain this month but it just took so long, so this month I am doing them all together and am just going to attempt to be brief – something that is decidedly not easy for me! I’m still on a no-buy, as I detailed in this post, but for the purposes of this post my evaluation of whether I would repurchase a product is as if I could afford to shop – and as if I didn’t have a ridiculous stash of products as it is.

All used up

I’ve been dutifully using up samples, and so I have some more empties to review! There are products from Palmer’s, Aveeno, Neutrogena REN and Taylor Swift, so time to get into it. You’ll see there was a Dermalogica sample in the picture but I decided to review it with the rest of the Dermalogica samples, after I’d thrown the packets away so I couldn’t retake the photo. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula and Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion I’m reviewing these together because neither of them were very remarkable.. The Aveeno moisturiser is slightly lighter than the Palmer’s one, but both were acceptable, albeit unexciting moisturisers to use on my body. I would probably buy which ever one is cheaper, as they’re affordable supermarket products. You can also buy the Aveeno one on Mighty Ape. Repurchase? Yes Neutrogena hand cream I absolutely love this hand cream, and have bought so many tubes of it in my life. It says ‘so concentrated that only a small amount leaves dry, cracked hands noticeably softer and smoother after just one application’ and I think that’s true. I get eczema and dryness on my hands, and this is just so good for it. The high glycerin […]
