I used up so many products during April that I had to make two posts for my empties! In this post I’ll be telling you what I think about Frank Body Scub, Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Shampoo and Conditioner, and Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter. Like I said in my last post, I’m very impressed with how many full sized products I managed to use up during April.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter 085 – Sugar Plum
Finishing this made me feel happy and sad. Happy, because I finally finished a lipstick, and sad, because I no longer have the lipstick – well actually I’m going to try and use it until I absolutely can’t, but there aren’t many wears left in this. I love how natural the colour is, it really is a perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade for me, I can just swipe it on without looking. This is another product I’ve been raving on about for ages, the photo below is from a post called My Favourite Lipsticks that I wrote a year ago.
Repurchase? I definitely intend to, but I have others that are reasonably similar and finances dictate they will have to do for now.
Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
I managed to acquire multiple sample sachets of this shampoo and conditioner from attending a few different events, so I feel like I can give it a good review despite not having used a full size of the product. My hair wasn’t really in need of repair, but it was feeling a bit dry and I am well overdue for a cut (but can’t bring myself to go – when did it get so expensive!!). Using this shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling more manageable and hydrated. I also have samples I’ve been using of Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Beauty Balm, which I apply to damp hair after washing, and that’s great too.
Repurchase? I would, once I’ve finished my current shampoo and conditioner. I had the idea that Schwarzkopf was an expensive brand but I looked it up and it’s actually quite reasonably priced.
Frank Body Scrub
I wrote about Frank scrub when I first bought it, and since then it has become my most popular post, by a huge margin. I don’t quite understand how this scrub became such a cult item, it seems like it appeared out of nowhere and then everyone was clamouring to get their hands on it. As I said at the time of the original post, I don’t think it’s worth the hype. It was a pretty decent scrub, but it certainly didn’t do anything for my stretchmarks and cellulite – not that I was really expecting it to. I have seen some amazing before an after Frank scrub posts but I can’t help but be skeptical that they really got those results. The main reason I didn’t like it was the mess, the coffee granules seem to get absolutely everywhere.
Repurchase? No way.
I always feel like my empties posts are so long, and this one is no exception, but I tend to have a lot to say about products by the time that I’ve finished them. If you haven’t already, read my April empties part one post – it includes Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, a L’Oreal moisturiser, Japanese hyaluronic acid face mask and some Fuss Free Naturals face wipes.
Have you tried any of these products? Do you feel similarly to me, or different? Let me know in the comments section!
